The System

The System is developed in JavaScript + CSS3. Works fine on the iPad, and its ideal when played by several human players. The game design is not mine, comes from a board game, and the porting / transformation is not complete yet, but checking this game could be a practical way of learning the basics of game prototyping using very simple JavaScript.

Genio

Genio is a videogame where you can play the strategy game of the Renaissance expanding towns with art, ideas, inventions. It will be a card based real time strategy videogame that anybody can play. Be part of our research by pledging this project, giving us feedback and getting 3D blueprints and Leonardo’s original toys.

Renaissance Italy was a melting pot of ideas, inventions and extraordinary artistic intuitions. In Genio you experience this universe of ideas in a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game.

People in Love is a kind of Sim City where you are the people living in the city instead of the architect. Nobody up to now asked the Sim City inhabitants what they thought about their own city planning, and about the planners: its time to do that! It is a game that tries to indirectly talk about a quite serious matter, while being structured as pure mobile entertainment.

i4T

The i4Ts game is a hybrid (paper+digital) board game that provides guidance to educators in the conceptualisation (i.e. the initial design stage) of collaborative, inclusivion-oriented learning activities for their students. The i4Ts game can be effectively used for professional development in Learning Design, intended as a team-based task. Targets of the output are in service teachers, student teachers and their trainers. Started for the CNR of Genova, now it is an intellectual output for the PLEIADE European project.

Opera Kidz

Opera Kidz is a specific game on a tablet that makes the kid create her own path through the museum, and induces carefully observing a selection of the works. 

The idea is to define a path along which the kid will alternate digital play, walking, observing and finding details of the work and back to digital: learning more about the works.

THEOREM – youTH intEllectual prOpeRty Education prograM is a dissemination project to promote and raise knowledge and awareness on Intellectual Property (IP) and the respect of IP rights in the context of creative industries and high‐tech start‐ups.

Open Lab was called in the project to develop an interactive web-application IP Game named Try it again, Karl!, based on the concept of a narrative story formulated during the IP Rights Game Storm.
