Open lab developed the “StartUp Legend” game for the Bocconi University; this game collects the students’ decisions flow allowing teachers analyze and discuss their approach to the start up lounch problem proposed by this game in the classroom. The result is an increase in students’ understanding and analytical skills.

i4T for Pleiade
Open Lab, as partner of the Pleiade project, is developing a Digital / Hybrid game to help teachers on designing inclusion-aware collaborative learning activities for their students. The game is based on the 4T theoretical framework, which support learning design by helping teachers identify Tasks to be performed, Time schedule of the activity, Teams of students to be involved, and Technologies to be used.
Surfing IP
The client wanted to create this narrative game so that it could have been played both from mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) and on desktop computers directly from their website.
Open Lab has created this game in HTML so that it can satisfy customer requests.
Divide et Impera
Divide Et Impera is a game where you interact with a connected group of diverse people initially in good relations between them; by using hate speech in various forms you try to bring about division and hostility, finally separating the group in factions. Through manipulation of a simulated small community , the gamer can be confronted with and made aware of actual mechanisms used to manipulate people in social media. Adolescents can learn this way to be more critical about the sources and content of information they find in social media.
The game has been designed and developed by Mauro Vanetti (independent game developer), and Pino Panzarella and Pietro Polsinelli from Open Lab.

The System
The System is developed in JavaScript + CSS3. Works fine on the iPad, and its ideal when played by several human players. The game design is not mine, comes from a board game, and the porting / transformation is not complete yet, but checking this game could be a practical way of learning the basics of game prototyping using very simple JavaScript.
Genio
Genio is a videogame where you can play the strategy game of the Renaissance expanding towns with art, ideas, inventions. It will be a card based real time strategy videogame that anybody can play.
